To be listed, the certificates representing certain securities must satisfy the requirements set out in LR 2.2.2 R to LR 2.2.11 R. For this purpose, in those rules references to securities are to be read as references to the certificates representing certain securities for which application for listing is made.

Except for MCOB 11.6.21A R, each2rule in MCOB that requires a record also sets out a period that the record must be kept for. While not a requirement of MCOB, firms may choose to keep records for longer periods, for example, where there is the possibility of customer complaint or legal action against the firm.
(1) In order to discharge its functions under the Act, the FCA1 needs timely and accurate information about firms.
