This guidance is issued under section 157 of the Act (Guidance). It represents the FSA's views and does not bind the courts. (1) In order to discharge its functions under the Act, the FSA needs timely and accurate information about firms. A firm and its controllers are required to notify certain changes in control (see7SUP 11 (Controllers and close links)).
