marketable investment

  1. (a) an investment which is traded on or under the rules of an exchange;
  2. (b) a debt instrument which may be transferred without the consent of the issuer or any other person (including a collateralised mortgage obligation);
  3. (c) a commodity;
  4. (d) a warrant, option, future or other instrument which entitles the holder to subscribe for or acquire:
    1. (i) an investment or commodity in (a) to (c); or
    2. (ii) any currency; or
    3. (iii) any combination of (i) and (ii);
  5. (e) a contract for differences (including interest rate and currency swaps) relating to fluctuations in:
    1. (i) the value or price of an investment or commodity in (a) to (d); or
    2. (ii) any currency; or
    3. (iii) the rate of interest in any currency or any index of such rates; or
    4. (iv) the level of any index which is derived from the prices of an investment or commodity in (a) to (c); or
    5. (v) any combination of (i) to (iv);
  6. (f) warrants, options, futures or other instruments entitling the holder to obtain the rights of those contracts in (d) or (e);
  7. (g) a unit in a regulated collective investment scheme.
