68the financial statements in respect of the year ending on the firm's annual accounting reference date, which is the date to which a corporate firm's accounts are prepared for the purposes of the Companies Acts, or, where the firm is not subject to the Companies Acts, the equivalent date chosen by the firm and notified to the FSA .
