  1. (a) an order to a firm from a customer to execute a transaction as agent;
  2. (b) any other order to a firm from a customer to execute a transaction in circumstances giving rise to duties similar to those arising on an order to execute a transaction as agent;
  3. (c) a decision by a firm in the exercise of discretion to execute a transaction with or for a customer. 3
