1. (1) (in GENPRU, INSPRU and SUP) (in relation to a contract of insurance) any class of contract of insurance listed in Schedule 1 to the Regulated Activities Order (Contracts of insurance) and references to:
   1. (a) general insurance business class 1, 2 3, etc. are references to contracts of insurance of the kind mentioned in the corresponding numbered paragraph in Part I of Schedule 1 to that Order or, as the context may require, to the effecting or carrying out of contracts of insurance of that kind; and
   2. (b) long-term insurance business class I, II, III, etc. are references to contracts of insurance of the kind mentioned in the corresponding numbered paragraph in Part II of Schedule 1 to that Order, as the context may require, to the effecting or carrying out of contracts of insurance of that kind.
2. (2) (in COLL):
   1. (a) a particular class of units of an authorised fund; or
   2. (b) all of the units relating to a single sub-fund; or
   3. (c) a particular class of units relating to a single sub-fund; or
   4. (d) in relation to an EEA UCITS scheme, any arrangement equivalent to (a), (b) or (c).
3. (3) (in COBS) a particular category or type of packaged product.
4. (4) (in LR) securities the rights attaching to which are or will be identical and which form a single issue or issues.
5. (5) (in FEES) one of the216 classes216 set out216 in FEES 6 Annex 3AR, to which the FSCS allocates levies216.
