    permission to carry on regulated activities; that is, any of the following:

      1. (a) a Part IV permission ;
      1. (b) the permission that an incoming EEA firm has, under paragraph 15(1) or paragraph 15Z(1), (3) or (4)98 of Schedule 3 to the Act (EEA Passport Rights), on qualifying for authorisation under paragraph 12 of that Schedule;
      1. (c) the permission that an incoming Treaty firm has, under paragraph 4(1) of Schedule 4 to the Act (Treaty Rights), on qualifying for authorisation under paragraph 2 of that Schedule;
      1. (d) the permission that a UCITS qualifier has, under paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 5 to the Act (Persons concerned in Collective Investment Schemes);
      1. (e) the permission that an ICVC has, under paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 5 to the Act (Persons concerned in Collective Investment Schemes);
      1. (f) the permission that the Society of Lloyd's has, under section 315(2) of the Act (The Society: authorisation and permission), which is to be treated as a Part IV permission for the purposes of Part IVof the Act (Permission to carry on regulated activities) in accordance with section 315(3) of the Act.54
