general liability

(in relation to a class of contract of insurance) the class of contract of insurance, specified in paragraph 13 of Part I of Schedule 1 to the Regulated Activities Order (Contracts of general insurance), against risks of the persons insured incurring liabilities to third parties, the risks in question not being risks to which paragraph 10 (Motor vehicle liability), 11 (Aircraft liability) or 12 (Liability of ships) of that Schedule relates.4
