skilled person

a person appointed to make a report required by section 166 (Reports by skilled persons) or section 166A (Appointment of skilled person to collect and update information) of the Act for provision to the appropriate regulator and who must be a person:227

227(a) nominated, approved or appointed by the appropriate regulator; and227

227(b) appearing to the appropriate regulator to have the skills necessary to make a report on the matter concerned.227
