COLL 14.1 Introduction

This chapter applies to:

1. (1)

   an authorised fund manager of a charity authorised investment fund;

2. (2)

   an ICVC that is a charity authorised investment fund;

3. (3)

   the depositary of a charity authorised investment fund; and

4. (4)

   the authorised fund manager and the depositary of an authorised fund that was previously registered as a charity with the Charity Commission.

1. (1)

   A charity authorised investment fund may be:

   1. (a)

      a UCITS scheme; or

   2. (b)

      a non-UCITS retail scheme;

   3. (c)

      a qualified investor scheme; or

   4. (d)

      a long-term asset fund.

2. (2)

   A charity authorised investment fund may be structured as:

   1. (a)

      an authorised unit trust (AUT); or

   2. (b)

      an investment company with variable capital (ICVC); or

   3. (c)

      an authorised contractual scheme (ACS).
